Playing the Game

You have 5 stages in learning the baseball game.

1.  T-ball--
  • There are 9 people on the field at a time: Right Center, Left Center, Right field, Left Field, 1st Base, 2nd Base, 3rd Base, Short Stop, and "Pitcher".
    • The batter hits the ball, the players on the field get the ball and throw it to first to get the batter out. 
  • The kids hit the ball off of a Tee.
  • The field here is the smallest of the stages.

2.  Coach Pitch
  • There are 10 people on the field at a time: Right Center, Left Center, Right field, Left Field, 1st Base, 2nd Base, 3rd Base, Short Stop, Catcher, and "Pitcher". 
    • The batter hits the ball, the players on the field get the ball and throw it to first to get the batter out.
  • A Coach pitches the ball to the batter.  
    • The coach throws 5 balls and if the batter doesn't hit one of these, then he/she strikes out. 
  • The field is getting bigger, but is still small.
3.  Kid Pitch
  •  There are 9 people on the field at a time:  Center field, Right field, Left Field, 1st Base, 2nd Base, 3rd Base, Short Stop, Catcher, and Pitcher.
    • The batter hits the ball, the players on the field get the ball and throw it to first to get the batter out.  If the batter is hit, he/she gets on 1st base automatically.
  • A kid on the team pitches the ball to the batter.
    • If the pitcher throws 3 strikes, then the batter is out
    • If the pitcher throws 4 balls, then the batter gets on 1st base automatically.
    • Runners on base are able to steal the next base.  The catcher throws the ball to the correct base to get the runner out. 
  • This is the medium-sized field.
4.  Minor League (Farm teams)
  •  There are 9 people on the field at a time:  Center field, Right field, Left Field, 1st Base, 2nd Base, 3rd Base, Short Stop, Catcher, and Pitcher. 
    • The batter hits the ball, the players on the field get the ball and throw it to first to get the batter out.  If the batter is hit, he/she gets on 1st base automatically.
  • A member on the team pitches the ball to the batter.
    • If the pitcher throws 3 strikes, then the batter is out
    • If the pitcher throws 4 balls, then the batter gets on 1st base automatically.
    • Runners on base are able to steal the next base.  The catcher throws the ball to the correct base to get the runner out.  
  • This is the largest field, same size as the Major League field.
  • This is where players train to get into the Major League. 
5.  Major League
  • There are 9 people on the field at a time:  Center field, Right field, Left Field, 1st Base, 2nd Base, 3rd Base, Short Stop, Catcher, and Pitcher. 
    • The batter hits the ball, the players on the field get the ball and throw it to first to get the batter out.  If the batter is hit, he/she gets on 1st base automatically.
  • A member on the team pitches the ball to the batter.
    • If the pitcher throws 3 strikes, then the batter is out
    • If the pitcher throws 4 balls, then the batter gets on 1st base automatically.
    • Runners on base are able to steal the next base.  The catcher throws the ball to the correct base to get the runner out.  
  • This is the largest field, same size as the Minor League field. 
  • These are the best players in the USA.
